Where the fuck is Frick? Looking at the map, some will ask themselves 60 km? Others rather not. Train, of course. Dear DB Bahn, your long-distance train service is not even close to adequate. Especially when you consider how many trains are cancelled and suddenly a lot of people with bicycles are left without a connection. They all flock to the next train without knowing that the bike ticket is not valid for it. On the other hand, you are extremely accommodating when it comes to refunds for rebooked tickets. But well, that shit is now named several times, when will that change? ICE Generation 6 or 8? Well, I still had a lot to do at home, like founding a company, slowly building up my homepage and webshop (on 1 October the hot shit goes "on-air" !!!!!!, I can also deal with it on the way). "Job" has found me, maybe a bit earlier than I would have liked, so no more Balkan tour, but that was an indecent offer, so I had to turn down Innsbruck and the 1 year project with a heavy heart. Who could say no to such an offer? That's why I'm only doing a small round now, visiting the last dwarf states and a few friends by bike. The route is not fixed, first south. Tomorrow, if things go well, Lichtenstein, there's supposed to be thunderstorms starting tomorrow evening. So I've already crossed the Alps in sunshine and light snow, and now it's going to rain? We'll see, we'll see. So how was it today? First of all I got a train ticket for today, of course I could have done 2 days by bike, of course I could have used a bike bag, of the 3 that are in the cellar, I even packed one for the way back, but putting it together and taking it apart or the 2 days is okay like that. So this morning I cleaned the flat, put stuff away so that the wife, who I'll probably only see again when the rest of my new life has begun, will be happy, and had breakfast. I had already packed yesterday. Then off I went for 80 minutes on the 20 km to Frankfurt. Doable, easy, but you still get the shits in between. But easily done, then into the train. In the compartment a young woman in distress. She wanted to go on holiday with her new bike, bought the day before yesterday, stolen from the cellar last night...... how mean can the world be? Bicycle thieves, hang them! Then, all along the route, people with bicycles who just wanted to deliver, there were boarding checks by bicycle card at every station. Arrived in Basel at 4 p.m. I was caught in the heat, but I wasn't in a hurry, I was more worried that I had too much luggage again and wouldn't be able to get up the Alps. I wanted to make full use of the 130 kg max. system weight (which I also have with 125 kg without provisions or water). Had a few climbs today, think it's going, arrived in Frick to fuck, tomorrow we'll see more. In this sense, good night. P.S.: The thing with Putin and his special operation doesn't work out so well for him, does it? Scrap metal vs high-tech? The signs are pointing to peace, Ukraine has paid the price, I'll never forget that.
