So how did that go again? So for a day to come in I did not take it slow. In the morning at 4:30 o'clock out, train over Koblenz to Trier and then the Moselle long. In principle, I knew the entire route today. therefore i drove on the for me unknown river sides. At Schengen then briefly Luxembourg, about kilometer 50 was that and then already France and noon and the sun was merciless. Suddenly 39 degrees on the thermometer, fuck! I knew that from last year, 3 days such weather and I am completely dehydrated. There you can drink as much as you want. Fortunately, clouds soon came up, around five it even rained a bit. That was quite welcome, I didn't even unpack my rain gear. I was wet anyway, sweaty. What else? Well, the first day on the bike with luggage usually takes some getting used to, but from noon on I could make sandwiches while riding. In France I had to adjust again a bit, minimum distance? There is no, no whining helps, eggs helps. The signage is also rather lousy, but the construction sites and associated detours are as well signposted as in Germany....Also not at all. But what I find great in France is that everyone greets, which is sometimed annoying because you can not get out of nodding, but iverall I think it's great. Between Metz and Nancy you really drive a beautiful piece of nature (okay now and then you have to stop on the road) only I had somehow forgotten the flies, I was littered, thanks to sunscreen. Glasses and keep your mouth closed otherwise, oh the little things, maybe that's why I'm not hungry tonight. At eight I was then at the campsite, the same as last year, tent construction & showers in under 30 minutes. So now but is already late. Tomorrow I have to do less kilometers, then I can write more... so whether I can really do less kilometers, that's not my DNA, in this sense, good night!
