Clouds in the mountains, I find that incredibly beautiful. That's how it was this morning and I strolled around a bit in Innsbruck then set off, a bit carefree and haphazard up the Inn. Actually I wanted to go to Füssen, as I thought Mittenwald was already closed. Arrived in Telfs, I started climbing and saw a sign, Mittenwald closed from 25.6, so still open today. With that I clearly drove at least 20 km too much, so up I went. The way to Füssen suggested by the app was adventurous, with single trails, so I was quite happy to ride via Mittenwald. Climbing went quite well, painfully I became aware of the difference to yesterday. Without luggage, you just cycle up a climb like that, still accelerating on the way. With luggage, well, you just sit and crank up the hill in the high gear ratios, you can't really accelerate, there's just 25 kg more pushing down the slope. So if someone is bored with their local mountain, put the weight on and try to improve your best time. I had an on-off relationship with my rain gear today, but regenerating the gorecondom worked quite well. It's quite nice up there, the weather was also cooperating, so I sat down for lunch first, with a wonderful backdrop. And then I heard horses, behind me. A small team of polive riders came out of the forest, flirtatious young ladies. This went on all day, police cars, road checks, barriers and even a bicycle squad, until after Garmisch-Partenkirchen, an extremely high police contingent. I have videos and pictures, but I don't want to put them online until after the summit. A roadblock near Mittenwald kindly prevented me from driving onto the main road. All very friendly. As soon as I arrived in Garmisch, it suddenly got cold and quite dark in the distance, so rain gear out again, changed just in time and sheltered out of instinct. It was a really heavy thunderstorm, hail, downpour, etc. 0So I waited another half hour and then continued, even wirh on and off of my rain gear, as soon as the sun was out it was too warm, otherwise rain. My choice for today's overnight stay was a hostel in the forest instead of a campsite, and the right overnight stay was a hostel, which was also the right choice, as it is still pouring and the food here is/was phenomenal! 4 Käse Käsespätzla and I admit it I ate a steak on Ratatouille oh that was good, as well as the potatoes, so 1 star cuisine in the "Absteige". I am such a lucky bear sometimes! On that note, good night!
