And then everything had to happen quickly. In the morning I realized that it no longer made sense. The amount of painkillers I needed to be pain-free made a further ride pointless. So with a heavy heart I picked out the train connection, dried everything, packed it up and slowly set off, had time. Wistfully through the beautiful village, have breakfast croissants again, to the station and buy ticket to Paris. In local traffic, I can take the bike so. 3 h later, with change in Orléans, at lunchtime I was in Paris. So the Loire I will certainly do again, the entry point I have then already. With the bike I was already often in Paris, packed up in the bag and am by cab from station to station. This time I had not yet unscrewed it and still time. I also wanted to know what awaits me next year, 16 days of Olympics, where I will also have my bike with me. So on into the fray, of course slowly and carefully, the drive here all cross and across in the densest traffic, that will make a lot of fun. Once I had to (things I want to do before I die) in the traffic circle around the Arc de Triumph, the most dangerous traffic circle in Europe. And yes it almost worked with the accident. So awesome, I've been to many big cities by bike, Paris felt special. I'm looking forward to 2024. Then off to the Gare de l'Est and unscrew the bike, pack, sit wait. Now I'm sitting on the train, no one has murmured because of the huge part, everything tippi toppi and am soon at home, tomorrow then already an appointment with the Doc, will probably not get around an operation. Stupid but is just so. Was still nice, just under 1000 km and almost only bike paths. Totally cool, I'll do again and was spot cheap. 20 - 30 euros a day with food and accommodation. So much I need at home also....in this sense, until next time.
