So that was the longest stage I've ever done with luggage, the previous one was from Györ to Budapest 191 km and I slipped off my bike in the evening and was gone. And today? Still in good shape. The new bike is running! #radarlove thanks fahrschneller.de and especially Felix for persuading me. So far it's running very well and I'm looking forward to the upgrades..... so the bike is running so well that I can hang on to road cyclists. That way I could never ride packed normally. I hang in the slipstream and they can't believe it. Of course they try to shake me off, but they only get flattened and when I (have to) go into the wind they can't follow anymore. 😬 Also gradients of 16%, okay only 100 m (distance) but also no problem, so far. Running so far. I had planned 4 - 5 days for the Moselle (544 km). I'll probably be there tomorrow evening after 3 days. Oops. There was actually a lot going on today. First Trier. Why are all the roads there such a disaster? And traffic jams? The surrounding area is not so..... Well, it's the oldest city in Germany. And then? Luxembourg! The last European dwarf state I have never visited. If I do Lichtenstein and Monaco by December, I'll have done them all within a year. But I didn't do Monaco by bike. I got off the bike in Fréjus. Mhhhh I could also mhhh and stop by in Milan at Marco and Gulia's in Florence. I think I'm already planning something again..... so Luxembourg! I've already heard a lot of positive things! Yes, the cycle paths are wide and yes, the tin cans overtake carefully. Then France ola la. Some drivers here are more Italian, but also many are very careful. And actually I spent most of my time cycling along the Moselle, very beautiful, very quiet, not so many tourists, but lots of nature. I can only recommend it! Especially for cycling beginners! And France.... I forgot to say hello to everyone again, nice. And my French wants to come out again, ordering coffee is already working "Court et fort"! nice here, also with French people (I like them), in this sense, good night!
